Film is a storytelling mechanism that truly transcends all others. It generates the ability to show, not tell. Turning limitations into advantages is one of the key aspects in the art of cinematography. The story comes first and is always the primary motivation of his approach to lighting and camera work. However, art isn’t easy, and one is always learning. The goal is to try and make his director’s world visible while remaining as invisible as possible. Qualification wise, he holds a postgraduate degree from Sheridan college in Cinematography and has had the privilege to assist Sudeep Chatterjee in Bajirao Mastani, amongst a horde of other shorter projects.
